Personal Firewall won't stay on
Yesterday I started getting a Mcafee error message telling me my Personal Firewall was off. Every time I turn it on, it either doesn't go on or doesn't stay on. I contacted McAfee; they of course told me I had to contact Cox. Cox, of course, told me I had to contact McAfee. They also told me I could turn my Windows Firewall on, except when I try to I get an error message. (Likely because I've got McAfee set up!) System Restore hasn't helped. So I'm operating without a firewall, because the crooks at Cox bait you with McAfee but aren't willing to back it up. Anyone know what to do (besides go on social media and complain until someone helps me, because I'm already doing that!)?Solved8.4KViews0likes13CommentsCox Security Suite - Mac OS Big Sur
Hi Folks - I'm a Mac OS user who also uses the Cox Security Suite by McAfee. Upon upgrading to OS 11 (Big Sur) it appears that the version which is available for download is not compatible. I have confirmed this off several McAfee forums as others are encountering similar issues Will Cox be updating the version available for its subscribers to allow use/functionality on a Mac? Thanks in advance - Bill3.2KViews0likes7CommentsSecurity Suite update not branded. No graphic logo was installed for the app Home page. No McAfee, No Cox Security Suite! ?? looks generic/un realiable
My security Suite was updated to the new version of Mcafee. However, there is no App identification or branding inside the app. On the Home page? This looks pretty unprofessional and cheesy for an Anti Virus we are supposed to be counting on for all our PRIVATE, Sensitive personal informration. I want something that can at least look professional2.6KViews0likes7CommentsGet stuck in a loop trying to download the security suite
My husband's laptop is a Win10 device, and I've read all the alerts that say "restart" for internet connectivity. BUT, he IS connected to the internet. It works just fine browsing this and that, BUT when I log in as the primary account holder and try to download McAfee, it says I have to restart before I can download. I've tried it three times today, restarting each time and it doesn't work. Something is wrong somewhere, but it ISN'T his internet connection. The website works fine and even assigns a activation code, but once I tell it to run the .exe file, it hiccups and says I need to restart first. I don't know whether it's a windows issue or a Cox issue.1.2KViews0likes1Comment
