TIVO Tuning Adaptor spontaneous restart/reboot
For the past two months, the two Cisco Tuning Adaptors associated with my two TIVO's have been restarting by themselves. For a while they were synchronized i.e. they both rebooted at the same time. Now they both have a mind of their own. Every time a TA restarts, the TIVO gives up on any recordings and interrupts any viewing with messages about the TA. You get a second message once the TA restarts, also with terminated recordings. Reboot time varies a lot. Sometimes a couple times a day, sometimes 2 or 3 times a week. Often during the 4th quarter of a Suns or Warriors basket ball game. This is getting old. Cox has been out 4 times. Replaced both tuning adaptors and cable cards. No change. They have blamed it on noise issues, aka ingress (first guy). In house cabling - second guy who replaced every connector he could find. No change. Third guy blamed my amplifier and installed his own. Fourth guy blamed the amplifier installed by the third guy. He replaced it with a mid split amplifier. No change. Problem remains with no significant change. Very difficult to test since it takes between 12 and 36 hours for a TA to reboot on its own. Guy number 5 is now scheduled to come out.Perhaps hewill have better luck. My head is spinning. Smells like a head end issue to me. Is it just coincidence that these problems began with the death of the 1000 series channels, increased modem speed and the death of VOD? And just today, they have suddenly been rebooting in synchronization. Three times so far. Both rebooted within seconds of one another.... Any suggestions would be appreciated.Solved13KViews0likes100CommentsKeep getting V202 error with my TiVo Roamio Premier on Cox when accessing on demand Cox app
I already spent multiple hours with Cox trying to resolve and with TiVo support. They each blame each other also. I even tried factory resetting the box which tells me it’s not my equipment. It used to work and stopped working after a TiVo update. I live in San Diego, CA just in case your wondering. All my regular channels including premium channels work fine. On demand series and movies via the Cox app result in the v202 error “This show is currently not available”Solved4.8KViews0likes16CommentsCox on Demand app for Tivo
Hi, I just learned that I can get a Cox on Demand app for my Tivo, but I can't seem to find the right information on how to get it. I see some areas talk about codes needed for my box, but I can't find the right person who knows what those are so I'm trying here. I have a Roamio Pro using the Hydra software. Any help in adding this feature would be greatly appreciated4.4KViews0likes5CommentsThis channel is temporarily unavailable on Tivo
Hi, I have been using my TIVO Romio (and mini) for a few years on Cox with no real issues. Recently (last Saturday) I went to my PAC12 channel and received this message "This channel is temporarily unavailable, Press select to try tuning to this channel again. Contact your cable provider for more information" The issue extends to several channels, all above 1154. This is not every channel but most of them. This is impacting even my premium channels as well (not HBO on channel 1300 though). I validated that the channel does work on the cox box that I have elsewhere in the house. I have rebooted both the romio and the mini several times, checked at different times of day to see if that was an issue and so far nothing works. Hoping there is a solution out there.4.1KViews0likes5CommentsTiVo channels lost
Has anyone else had trouble viewing cable channels using their TiVo box? My channels dropped out last week and only a few are now visible. The tech support people have attempted to pair the tuning adapter and the M-card, but were unsuccessful. A technician came to the house, but was unable to fix the problem. A new tuning adapter was installed with new splitters, but it was no help.4KViews0likes9CommentsMagnolia Network & Tivo
I have a TIVo Bolt with a tuning adapter. I can view all of my channels accept the Magnolia Network. The screen goes black and nothing happens. Cox is blaming Magnolia. Magnolia is blaming TIVo and TIVo blames Cox. I’m sure it has to do with the tuning adapter but don’t know how to solve the problem. Anyone else have this problem?2KViews0likes0CommentsCable cards and tuning adapters NOT working
I’m 4 weeks into this issue that nobody can resolve. I have 4 sets of cable cards and tuning adapters in 4 TiVo units. About 4 weeks ago, I noticed that some channels were not working. I also noticed that all 4 tuning adapters were flashing yellow (should be solid yellow). I called and they “reset” my connection. Didn’t work. Did that again a few days later. Still didn’t work. They sent a tech to the home (which showed no issues. I then talked to a tech agent who couldn’t pair all my equipment and suggested that I swap them out. Did that - all new (used) cards and adapters. Called the 877-820-82xx number and got those partially paired on one TV (not the others). They sent another tech to my house (no issues). The last time I called tech she was able to pair ALL cards but I have limited service. No sub channels (1 HBO, 1 Showtime, no EPIX, etc). I subscribe to EVERY channel. Frustrated, I settled and decided to shelve my 4 TiVo’s and go with your IP TV service. I ordered the Ultimate DVR service (record 24) with 4 HD boxes. They had to upgrade my modem to facilitate it. Said great - I’ll see it in a couple days. Ended the call. What I received from UPS was 2 old DVR’s with 4 clients and the new style modem. When I called (yet again) they said the sent me that equipment because IP TV service isn’t available in my area. REALLY? I just want my cable cards to work so I can use my TiVos or receive the IP/cloud based DVR service like I was offered. Can anybody help?912Views0likes1CommentTivo Missing Cox OnDemand App
The cox ondemand app is missing from my Tivo Bolt. I have read that there is some type of code that needs to be added to my account for the app to appear. Can someone please check this for me. If it happens to be setup correctly, is there anything else I can do to get the app to show up. I have already restarted the tuner and the tivo, connected to the tivo service, unchecked and checked the video sharing and enable video downloads options in the tivo device preferences. Thanks in advance, Ben799Views0likes1Comment2 Tivos w/Cox cards & channel tuner - VOD does show but has never worked V205 Error
We have Tivo Roamio and Bolt, Cox cable cards, Extended channel tuners. When we first got them Cox VOD didn't even show-up. Worked with Cox and all proper flags, codes, etc were then added/set correctly. VOD still didn't work Error V205. Tech came out and brought new cards and tuner boxes, still no joy. We ended up just watching shows on the Cox Website through a browser on our computer, but now you can't watch certain shows on the website that you can with VOD on a card or cable box. We've tried the reboot modem and router and tivos, no joy there either. Tivo says it's Cox and the Cox techs say they don't know Tivo. I've spent probably 16 hours on hold or working with folks on both sides of the fence. I had escalation tickets and second tier folks call back and no one can eve say what V205 even is. I can launch the Cox VOD app on the Tivo or search for a show that says it's available on Cox VOD. If I select to watch, the spinning circle comes and then a text box that says Error V205 Cox VOD is temporarily unavailable. Try again later or call Cox. Have done both. There are so many entries on these forums reporting the V205 error and some general suggestions, but there is never an entry with a real report of the solution. Can anyone from Cox help me? I once heard of a guy that works in escalated support that used Tivo on Cox and he knew all fixes, but this was from a Cox engineer that said that this guy was one of the only guys that could make Tivo work with VOD. Tivo is definitely no help. They turn around and put you on a conference call with them and Cox and you sit there listening to each of them blame the other. Any help would be appreciated.
