I blame COX. You got us into this mess, FIX IT! If I could get into my SSA account, I could change the e-mail address to something other than xxxxx@cox.net, but in order to get into my account, they send a Security Code e-mail to xxxxx@cox.net, which the new Yahoo e-mail account won't post. Not in Spam folder, not in Trash folder, not in any folder. No indication that a security code e-mail was ever sent or received. Nothing. No way for me to log into SSA and change to a non Yahoo/@cox.net e-mail address. COX decided to go this route, and now I can't get security codes or any e-mail from ssa.gov.
This is exactly what I discovered today! I've checked all folders and nothing comes through. VERY frustrating!

Thanks for the suggestions. I decided to bypass cox and yahoo and setup IDme.com to get access to social security or other government sites that requires a verification codes. I am highly disappointed with cox and yahoo for not caring to follow-up with this obvious issue with multiple people. If this is how you care for your customers then your future does not look promising. Good riddance!

Hello, I am very sorry you’ve not had the best experience with Cox. I understand how important communication and reliable service is. We value your business, and I would be happy to help. Please email us your “full” name, “complete” address, and a copy of your post to Cox.Help@cox.com for further assistance. Thank you!

I did the same IDme months ago, but still find the occasionally not recieved verification code email from various senders whether it be a bank or retailer. It is not Social Security specific and again, only happened post transition to Yahoo. I will respond to the moderator, but in the past was not helped. Cox dropped a major service but not the rate and it was a big downgrade to go to Yahoo.
