Data usage is outrageous

I have been with Cox for almost 10 years and I’ve never went over my data plan. In the last week I’ve used two months of data in seven days and there’s absolutely nothing new or unordinary working on the Internet from my house..

The only thing different is I changed my data plan to a cheaper monthly fee for the same plan and data I’ve had for years. Seemed cool to have the same everything for a cheaper price. 

There’s something fishy going on but ever since I changed my Internet package my data plan has blowed up.

 

And by the way, daily outages are the norm anymore at Cox

    I have a very nice router and it has bandwidth measurement and bandwidth usage, and there is absolute nothing that is using the amount of data that Cox says I am using.

    DO NOT ADD A DATA PACKAGE. I did this for the same reason and I've been on the phone for 30 minutes, currently on hold, JUST to remove it. 

    What have they done in the last 30 minutes? Try to upsell me on a higher package and phone service when I politely and clearly stated TWICE that my only concern was the package I was no longer needing since I do not go over with data.

    I'm wanting to cancel now because of the constant outages and poor customer service.

    **Also, you CANNOT remove the add-on online, you have to call customer service.

      We value your business and want to avoid losing you. I get how important it is to remain connected, and to a plan that fits your needs. I understand you no longer see the value of the data plan and are wanting it removed from your account.
