Intermittent disconnects with modem logs (

Hello,
I have a CM1000 modem from Netgear. I keep getting intermittent outages (lasting under 5 minutes). Is this a modem issue or a line issue?
Location: Phoenix area.
My modem is from February, 2019. So, pretty new.

  • Hi BrooksBrother, your modem metrics are outside our preferred specifications. Are there any splitters or extra connections on the coax that connects the modem to the cable outlet? If so, remove the splitter and see if your signal improves. If there are no splitters, I suggest a service call. If you'd like our team to schedule a service call for you, email us at cox.help@cox.com. -Becky, Cox Support Forums Moderator

Been happening to me for last 1.5 months.  See other posts.  Drops and resets in under 5 minutes.  Does this sometimes just a couple times and no more.  Sometimes it goes on for an hour....sometimes several hours....then stops until the next day.  Rinse, repeat.  Just happened to me 10 minutes ago and I am up fine now,

I am in the Phoenix area too and I am dealing with something similar. Did you have the issue fixed?

Interesting that others seem to be having this issue--I am in 85254 and am about ready to pay for the service call. Getting to the point where I have to go elsewhere for internet for important meetings.

Yeah, I'm guessing I am seeing 3-4 outages a day (that I notice) and almost always back up in 5 minutes.

  • My configuration:
Cable line is coming in a spare bedroom, and goes to a closet with the Netgear CM1000 modem. I don’t think I have any splitters.
From the modem, I have a router set up, but I’ve replaced everything in the last 6 months so everything is new. New router, new modem.
