Hello,
I have some very specific questions regarding my impending install:
I power my entire network with Cisco Enterprise equipment as I am studying for the CCIE exam (I'm currently a CCNP) and therefore would REALLY like to avoid ANY and ALL "consumer grade" CPE's (customer premise equipment). Therefore, I would like to know the fiber connector type, and if there is a "known working" SFP I can buy to plug the Cox fiber directly into my main Cisco 3840 Router? I.E. here is a SFP adapter that "looks like" it will work but I need confirmation:
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/interfaces-modules/gigabit-ethernet-gbic-sfp-modules/index.html#
So, if not the above SFP, then WHICH?? As there is a plethora of available types, from long-reach single mode, to multi-mode, and really all "I" need to then know is the wavelength of the fiber used.
Any help in this matter is appreciated!!
Thank you,
