I completely understand the frustration of having an inconsistent internet signal. I do see a few timeouts on your modem. Are there any splitters or amplifiers that are connected to the coaxial that is screwed into the back of your modem? If so can you please bypass any splitters/amplifiers and plug it directly into the wall from the modem?

I have a straight cable from outside the home going to the wall jack at my modem. From there is a cable straight to my modem. There is one barrel connector in the attic and the barrel connector at the wall jack. The last tech that came out read ~7db drop from the cable connected to my modem to the point where my wiring connects to the drop that runs under the street. He saw no noise or interference of any kind.

Thanks for letting m know. Because you are getting so many timeouts I would definitely recommend getting another technician out. I know this step may add frustration, and may even seem redundant, but please know that we want to get this issue resolved as promptly as possible. Cox Support Forums ModeratorI went through the Live Chat and have an appointment for tomorrow evening. The last tech that "escalated" the issue seemed it would go somewhere but after 2 emails they stopped responding.
