Summerlin download speed anomalies.

Good evening,

It's around 9:30pm as I write this, while awaiting a 0.9Gb file to download. I pay for premium services to the highwaymen on both ends, in order to avoid these 'anomalies' and would appreciate if Cox honor our agreements. Normally I'd chalk these download issues to up to "PEAK HOURS" but it's a Wednesday night and my upload speed is managing exactly as advertised.

This isn't the 6th time I've experienced such strange download or latency behavior, it's closer to around 19th--but in most cases I could solve the issue myself, considering my Modem is Cox branded and less than a year old, it's easy to rule out 'user end'. Out of curiosity I'm wondering if anyone else in the Summerlin area has been suffering these anomalous upload/download conflicts?

Some random factors:
- Hardwire connection
- No Active Wi-fi connection
- Modem rated for 900mbps
- Low ping no matter what state ( 1-56 latency )
- 30mbps flawless upload speed
- PEAK HOURS lol
- Windows 10
- Full/New Moon?
- Electrolytes
- ????

  • Hello. The modem is not reporting any unusual latency or packet loss at this time. Is this issue only happening during peak hours? -Allan, Cox Support Forums Moderator

It's happening right now, once again @4:32pm
This only seems to happen when accessing servers from a specific website, no matter what state the server is in. I pay a premium to access these servers without bandwidth limitations but here I am once again waiting on a file that should have completed 20 minutes ago 😩

Checked Nexus forums and same issue is happening to others concerning unlocked bandwidth. But speed tests also show gimped mbps, maybe coincidence?
