I remember seeing a post in this Forum maybe a year ago that someone reprogrammed a Contour 2 remote to change the skip forward and back times. Sorry I don't remember exactly when it was or the type of remote, but it was definitely a Contour 2. It might be worth your time to do a search for how to do that. If you find that post or instructions on some other website and are able to successfully change the skip times, please post how you did it

CurtB....here is one link on this 15sec/30sec jump key on the remote that I was a participant to...
My Controur 2, XR11-RF works great...30sec fwd and 15sec back. I'm not sure if replacing the 0030 with say a different set would change anything. It might be a fixed set of values....looks like user Nomisj found the fix too, even working on a different Remote.

Thanks, ekhawaii. I haven't seen you around lately. It's good to see you're surviving 2020. Yes, that was the post that I remembered seeing where someone was able to reprogram their Contour 2 DVR fast forward and back functions for 30 seconds and 15 seconds. I had forgotten that it was actually modifying settings on the DVR and not the remote.

Hey CurtB....I do read the forum quite regularly and see your many posts...I had to exercise my fingers on this last post because it was a really annoying issue with the Contour2 remote. I see that original poster Nomisj was able to adjust the different model remote too....good to know for future updates. 30/15 is so much better than the default 5min...the game watching, live or recorded is great....have a happy Holiday.

Thank you all. This has been very helpful. FF and RR functions using page up or down keys can be changed by pushing Exit 3 times, followed by 0030 (for 30 seconds or 0500 for 5 minutes). I assume this format can be used for any skip time but shorter intervals seem less accurate based on time stamp on screen.
