Custome Service
I wanted to reiterate that I had an awful experience through the moving process with cox. Until I talked to Edward tonight after talking to a not so kind representative, I was ready to switch to AT&T internet by tomorrow morning.. Edward not only listened and had that customer care that’s needed with issues (I was in customer service for years) but he also transferred me to Bob to get a solution. Prior to that, the first rep told me I could wait until Monday for my internet to be connected (which I thought was handled TWICE before) or I could go to a store and try tomorrow but most likely would have to wait until Monday… I moved into my first house and have a house warming and Thunder basketball watch party tomorrow - I called about my move on 4/8/24 to disconnect at previous residence and transfer to current residence on 4/25. I saw on my app on 5/14/24 that my previous address was still my service address so I reached out again. After 10pm tonight my internet shut off.. I called and, again, the first customer service rep was rude and dismissive and his best suggestion when I asked to talk to someone else in customer service, not even a manager- just someone else, he said well you can just call back. So I hung up and called back - he was just beyond rude and it came off like he was making fun of and/or mocking me with my issue which I didn’t appreciate. I just wanted a SOLUTION before people came over from out of town and out of state early tomorrow afternoon. If it wasn’t for Edward and Bob, I would have transferred to AT&T internet service by tomorrow morning. I was looking it up while trying to talk to the first representative. Edward and Bob are the people who keep your customers, can’t brag enough on them for their exceptional customer service, understanding and kindness (also patience explaining my dilemma and previous call). I asked them if I could do any survey / appreciative survey and they were just happy to help. They’re great assets to your team and deserve a THANK YOU SO MUCH shout out Thank you, Cortni Sanders22Views0likes2CommentsEmail Transition - Lost Outlook Subfolders
Hey all, I transitioned to Yahoo today and established credentials and everything without a hitch. (I didn't use the password generation, FYI) The problem is I cannot see my many inbox subfolders in Outlook anymore. If I log in to Yahoo webmail they're there, but they're flat-out missing in Outlook. Does anyone know of the fix for this? TIA, SteveSolved634Views0likes13CommentsHelp with Yahoo and Outlook Transition
I began the move to yahoo on Thursday. I use Outlook as my primary place for looking at my emails and I have a business email address directed there via my Cox email address so I can those messages and they stay separate from my personal emails. All of my emails transferred to Yahoo, except those associated with my business email address. Outlook, after setting up the servers is only getting my main email address and folders to show up but I have over 3200 emails that are not transferring onto Outlook from Yahoo. My business email address and related folders and emails is no longer there. I spent time on phone with Yahoo and Microsoft but to date both companies just want to blame the other for fact that all of my emails are not showing up in Outlook. Can anyone help me with this issue? The transition gets a big fat "F" in my evaluation. To top it off, if you call into Cox, their system rolls the technical questions about emails over to Yahoo. So I'm still missing my emails after four plus days of trying to resolve this. I've been a customer of Cox for over 20 years. What a way to treat loyal customers.136Views1like6CommentsHow to Use Cox e-mail Transitioned to Yahoo via Outlook ...
Just learned the details on how to do this - the instructions in e-mails we are getting are insufficient. Setting up yahoo account via link will only get you to the browser-based e-mail platform. This is required as the first step. Once this step is done, use these setting to set up Yahoo server in Outlook: POP access settings and instructions for Yahoo Mail | Yahoo Help - SLN4724 Old passwords will work using web-based Yahoo platform, but they will not work using outlook! New password is required to link Yahoo platform with Outlook - this is done this way: Open Yahoo page, and under Top Right-side point to You name letter next to e-mail icon and select Account - Overview Select Security - top 3rd from the left side. In the middle on the right side select: Generate and manage app passwords. Under App name enter Outlook. Yahoo will generate loooong password - Copy save it, as this will be the only time you will see it!! Paste this new password to Server Settings inside Outlook. This will link the outlook with Yahoo ... I'm curious if Cox is planning to slash their prices now that they've ditched their email servers and support, leaving their customers to fend off spam and ads like they're starring in their own inbox horror movie. Sure, there's a $1.99 upgrade to Yahoo+ per account, but if you've got multiple accounts, it can add up faster than a caffeinated squirrel on a sugar high. Looks like Cox is winning big time with this move, but what about the rest of us? And no, I don't want a mobile phone. I'm just trying to get my emails without needing a degree in spam warfare!57Views2likes1CommentYahoo server settings? Smtp/pop etc
After an experience I can only liken to a tooth extraction without novacaine I'm signed into Yahoo mail. Small victories. But now I need to configure my apps to deal with Yahoo - smtp, pop, whatever. I use Thunderbird on my PC platforms, and BlueMail on my various devices. (would assume the settings are the same for all, but just to be safe...) This trip to the dentist isn't done until I have restored access across my various stuff. Little help, here?162Views1like2CommentsEmail transition a complete farce
Note - this was posted in a response to another thread, thought I'd copy to a new one. May 4th - attempted to set up as per instructions. Went to Yahoo, entered my username but thus far every single attempt to create a password (dozens) have been met with error messages, even when I get approval on the password. This is unacceptable. When I decided to leave a post here (never have before) I needed to sign up - Cox sent a verification email to my cox.net address which has not shown up at all, I had to revert to a gmail address I never use. It would appear that as of my transition attempt my cox.net mail is now broken. This is beyond unacceptable. The primary email I've used for over 20 years is suddenly down, and I have no idea how many mails I've missed. Changing providers and then informing some hundreds of regulars of that change is beyond inconvenient, and enters into legally actionable territory. Later today when I've cooled down a bit I'll take another whack at Yahoo - if results are the same 2 things will happen - I'll transition email to another provider and began the above process of informing hundreds of contacts. I'll begin the search (brief, there are many) for a new service provider overall. Then on Monday I'll have a little chat w/my legal dept, have them look into the possibilities. I am beyond disappointed in Cox.73Views0likes1CommentCox email switch to Yahoo disaster
I have spent the entire morning, plus 3 phone calls, re "EMAIL transition". I have Outlook Cox email needing transition to Yahoo. Online discussions/Reddit, etc. states Yahoo does not accept Outlook transition. I also see some customers after much time/effort were able to do this. Customer service could not complete transition to Yahoo from Outlook (rep did try with no success), but suggested for $10 mo for Cox Help they could help me. This is the LAST STRAW....I have been a customer of Cox for 30 years with many ups/downs.....however, this EMAIL TRANSITION is a disaster. I can now only access my email thru the Cox email web; Outlook email does not work at all. I will be changing all services including internet, cable, phone, email @ $235 monthly bill ASAP.1.6KViews4likes22CommentsSince the transition to Yahoo mail yesterday, I can receive emails on my iPhone, but I cannot send.

I tried several ways to get my new Cox/Yahoo aocount on my iPhone. Turns out it was very easy, but I haven't seen this solution anywhere. Delete the old Cox account under Settings -> Mail Add a new account Select Yahoo! It will ask you to sign in - use your old Cox email address as your username: jdoe@cox.net and then click next. It will then ask for your password - use the new password you created when you transitioned to Yahoo and then click next On the next screen, make sure "email" is on and then click "save" That should do it!372Views0likes0CommentsCancel Peacock Premium using Contour DVR

After transitioning to yahoo mail, Social security.gov verification emails are not received on the web nor my desktop app. Yahoo tech blamed the government, while I think the SSA probably could tell the .cox was funneled into a yahoo or something. It also happened I didn't receive an employers verification code, so not a single sender. It was all smooth when it was only cox.net. Any help figuring this out would be great, I have seen other threads on the web about this exact issue but no resolution yet.107Views0likes1CommentWhy does my CONTOUR UPDATE daily?
This is frustrating. I see no reason why the contour box should update every single day, each time it updates it freezes my contour box/TV. I have to reset everything. Spent over an hour with Cox tech support on this with no success. Here are the symptoms: when accessing watchtv.cox.com = the screen just hangs with the message "Contour TV Now connecting to your entertainment experience." When using the Contour App -- same result. The problem only exists on one specific Windows 10 desktop. I am able to access Contour TV (browser and app) from other devices. I am using the Edge browser, but I get the same problem with the Chrome browser. I have tried all the obvious solutions: deleted all browsing data, passwords, etc., deleted and reinstalled the Contour App, rebooted the cable router, disabled antivirus/antimalware. Nada. The only thing I can figure is that there is some entry in the Windows registry that is the source of the problem. There are a handful of entries for Contour and watchtv.cox.com, but I am not adventurous enough to just start deleting registry entries (not yet anyway). Any suggestions? Muchos gratias.Solved103Views0likes8Comments- 60Views0likes1Comment

Panoramic WiFi app in continuous loop
I have seen a few other people with this issue with no resolution. We upgraded our plan and had a new router installed today, I was told by the installer the only way to change the network name is through the panoramic WiFi app, however it will not let me login. I have deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times all with the same result. When I click the login link, it takes me to the cox site to put in my credentials which I do. It then kick back to the app sign in screen to start the process all over. This is a continuous loop - has anyone found a solution for this or is there a different way to access my router settings?111Views0likes8CommentsAdvanced security not present in wifi app

Cox transition to Yahoo
Hello, I have some general questions. I am not technical. I read "Rdrolet" discussion from 2 months ago but I don't see answers to his questions. Currently Cox email is compatible with Microsoft Outlook. I have hundreds of folders and subfolders in my Outlook account that I regularly use. Is Yahoo compatible with MS Outlook? Because I want to continue to retain and add to these same folders and view their contents and add new files. Will I be able to use these same Outlook files the same way using Yahoo? Will this only change the look of my emails on webmail? Which I could never see my Outlook folders on webmail anyway. I also agree with "AZNurse" discussion, why do we only get 1 GB? Just got off of the phone with support about removing old cameras from the Homelife app. Despite spending hours on the issue with other techs before they assigned it to a higher level the answer is apparently that the app isn’t used anymore so just go ahead and ignore it. Just uninstall it. The web page to view the cameras is long gone. Now the SPECIFIC app is gone. So the only way to view the cameras is using the tv or the panoramic WiFi app. The panoramic app isn’t totally an admin app but it has the higher level functionality - FAR MORE than should be accessible just to look at the cameras. So now when my seven year old wants to see what the kitty cat is doing when he’s at daycare he’s going to be signing in with billing / main system user account (which will now have to use a simple password despite holding my credit card info) he can also go ahead and restart the gateway, play with port forwarding (which might be particularly enticing since it contains a list of game titles), etc. I must be misunderstanding something - is that the new procedure? And when I am looking through CURRENT support articles I see references and even screenshots of the app. And there are troubleshooting instructions that actually open the very app that is installed on my phone…114Views0likes1CommentCox email to Yahoo Mail soon 2nd notice
Cox email to Yahoo Mail soon 2nd notice It has been about a month since my last post. I received my second email from Cox on Feb 5th (2 days ago. That was the title (above) of the email. First let me say that the Cox.help group is very prompt and helpful with some of the details. It appears I am in the first group in RI. I haven't seen any post on any forum with someone discussing the actual transition. I am still unclear about the initial phases; including what day, what time, how long are we off line, can we wait a few days before we sign up (let the dust clear), (I feel like I am part of a test group - not too crazy about this). I did learn that each email address you have will be dealt with individually. That was a concern for me; my family has 6 cox email account at my residence (in RI); however, I have only received these two Cox email for only one of my accounts. There is one statement in the email which was puzzling. How will I know when I've been moved to Yahoo? • If you access your email through webmail, once transitioned, you'll be redirected to the Yahoo site to complete your move.” Sounds like move first than done? I am not sure what happens if I decide to wait a couple days for the dust to clear and get some real feedback. Oh well. This transition may be very straightforward. It can be. The communication channels need some work. The IT support teams should be getting more information from the transition planners so they can convey more information to us. I will provide an update in a couple weeks. Richard2.3KViews1like0CommentsHomelife app crashes in live view mode
